Columbus at San Jose

This is the first meeting of the season and Columbus won both last year and the Blue Jackets are favored in this one as San Jose is playing its third game in four days and the first two were on the road. The Sharks did beat Calgary 6-3 on Thursday, but they still are second-to-last in the league scoring only 2.11 goals per game and they are last allowing 3.76. San Jose has lost five of six as a home underdog of +110 to +150 and the Sharks are destined to finish last in the Pacific Division. Columbus, of course, also is going nowhere, but the Blue Jackets may have some incentive as they anticipate a shakeup after their general manager was fired on Thursday. Columbus goalie Elvis Merzlikins is 9-11-7, but he has a decent .904 save percentage in 29 games. Take the Blue Jackets as a Max Play.
