Columbus comes off a 2-1 win at New Jersey on Tuesday when Cam Atkinson and Artemi Panarin scored in the shootout and Sergei Bobrovsky had 29 saves for the Blue Jackets. Bobrovsky has a 28-21-1 record and 2.81 goals-against average and he'll face the Penguins in the first of a home-and-home series that concludes on Saturday. The Blue Jackets are looking to gain some chemistry after adding several players at the trade deadline and they are in double-revenge after losing the first two meetings with Pittsburgh this season. The Penguins won in overtime 3-2 versus Florida on Tuesday, but they are just 2-5 their last seven games against teams with winning records and 3-9 versus an opponent that scored two or fewer goals its previous game.
