Columbus controlled the pace in Game 1, outshooting the Penguins 32-29 and outhitting them 49-35. They lost 3-1 but this is a strong all-around team, sixth in the NHL in goals scored, #12 on the power play, second in goals allowed, and ninth in penalty killing. John Tortorella is a defensive-first coach and they will continue to play the physical game and grind out a slower pace. Columbus is on an 8-2-1 run UNDER the total, including 9-1-1 UNDER against winning teams. Pittsburgh is not an elite defensive team at #17 in goals allowed, #20 on the power play, and more vulnerable than last year. Look for the talented visitors to control the tempo and pull off the upset in a defensive duel. Back Columbus and take the UNDER.
