Columbus at Ottawa

The Columbus Blue Jackets have opened the NHL season at 0-6-1 and will be looking for their first win of the year. That certainly looks like the mark of a team you would not want anything to do with right now, but they have faced a difficult schedule to open the season. Their last four games have been against opponents that are a combined 20-4 to start the season, so I see some value here. Ottawa is 2-5 to open the season hasn't exactly been on a playoffs pace and have had difficulty scoring, tallying just 8 goals in their last four games. A lot of the Blue Jackets’ problems have occurred on and defending the power play, and again the competition certainly is responsible for a share of that, and would expect different results tonight than the 68.6% power play defense thus far. The Senators are no bargain at 16-44 off one day of rest, as well as just 3-9 in their last 12 as a home favorite. The Blue Jackets have played UNDER to a 9-4-1 mark in their last 13 as a dog of +110 to +150, while Ottawa now has been 14-5 to the UNDER in their last 19 vs. the Central. The Blue Jackets own wins in four of the last five, and tonight they win their first in a low-scoring game. Play on Columbus and take the UNDER.
