Columbus snapped a five-game skid with an impressive 5-2 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday as Boone Jenner had two goals and Johnny Gaudreau a goal and two assists. The big news was Joonas Korpisalo had 32 saves in his first win since offseason surgery for the Blue Jackets. Korpisalo will start again tonight against the New York Islanders, who lost 2-0 as a huge favorite against Arizona two nights ago. Ilya Sorokin had 26 saves in a losing cause and the Islanders are prohibitive favorites in this game although they are just 5-11 their past 16 games versus the Eastern Conference and 3-8 against teams that allowed two or fewer goals their previous game.
