New coach alert! We just saw the Miami Dolphins win after firing their coach and tonight in the NHL, new Columbus coach John Tortorella makes his debut after the team fired Todd Richards on Wednesday. Tortorella won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2004 and had mixed success in his four years with the New York Rangers. The Blue Jackets are 7-1 against the Western Conference and 7-3 vs. the Central Division. Former Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky will be in net and owns a 5-1-0 career mark with a 1.46 goals against average against the Minnesota Wild. Minnesota has dropped two straight, mustering just two goals during its skid. Nino Niederreiter netted the lone goal vs. the Ducks, but has failed to record a point in five career meetings with Columbus. Columbus has won the last five meetings in the series, including 4-1 at Minnesota. Take Columbus.
