The Toronto Maple Leafs has played five games and is still looking for their first win of the season. When looking at who they have played so far the list includes three teams in first place, and one in second place, so it is certainly not as bad as it looks. The Avalanche lost more games on the road last year than any Western Conference team aside from Phoenix, who matched their road futility with 24 defeats. The Avalanche is off a big emotional win last night in Boston, and this will be back-to-back nights on the road, something that didn't agree with them last season. The Avalanche played on consecutive nights on the road four times last year and lost all four games, outscored by a 2-1 margin at 14-7. This is a good spot for the Leafs to pick up their first win, so I'll back them in this one.
