The Flyers are 1-0-1 on the season after opening with a pair on the road. They should be charged up for their home opener as they will be raising their Eastern Conference Champions banner before the game. Philadelphia has to take the silver-lining from their loss to St. Louis in overtime. The Flyers were 0-5 on the power play, and had to defend 10 times while shorthanded, and still almost pulled out the win. Colorado needed overtime to pull out their opener vs. a rebuilt Blackhawks team. The Avalanche were not good down the stretch as a dog a year ago, finishing at 4-10 while the Flyers were 24-8 in their last 32 at home, as well as winning 12 of their last 14 as a favorite. I like Philadelphia here.
