It would be easy to dismiss the Avalanche here who are 2-8 in their last 10 games and have dropped their last four on the road, but remember this is the same team that rattled off five straight wins after an opening season loss, so they are definitely getting some line value here. The Wild have been winners of seven of their last nine, but this team also was 2-6 prior to those nine, so the image here isn't as good as it looks on the immediate surface. The Avalanche is playing strong on the road at 6-3-1 for the season, and has been 4-1 in the role of a dog from +110 to +150 over their last five. The Wild are now playing in their fourth game in six days where they are an ugly 18-40 the last 58 times in this situation. Colorado gets the money here.
