Colorado at Minnesota

The Avalanche has been a topsy-turvy team all season. They have been hot, gone stone cold and back-and-forth most of the season. Part of the instability comes from behind the net and on the defensive end. They have done a great job at home allowing only 26 goals in 10 games or 2.6 per game, but the road has been a defensive train wreck. The Avalanche has allowed 40 goals in 12 games, or 3.3 per game. That could spell trouble as the Wild has been producing goals at a very high rate as they have netted 17 in their last four outings, yielding 4.25 per game. While the Wild has been scoring, they have been giving it up as well as they have allowed 11 pucks to cross the line in the last four. Against a lackluster Avalanche defense on the road, Minnesota could be in for a big scoring night, and the Avalanche should be able to get their share too. I like the OVER in this one.
