Colorado at Detroit

Colorado continues to baffle, playing badly at home but great on the road. That won't continue and this is a long road trip. Colorado is 8-5-1 UNDER the total for the season. In three of their last five games they've scored just one goal. Notice that the UNDER is 3-1-1 in the Avalanche's last five games, and 3-1-1 UNDER the total in their last five against the Western Conference. Making it tougher is that they face this Detroit defense that is outstanding at No. 9 in the NHL, allowing 2.4 goals per game. They prefer to slow the pace down with a weak offense and the UNDER is 4-0 in the Red Wings’ last four games. This Detroit offense is in a slump as well, scoring 1 goal or less in five of their last seven games. The UNDER is also 6-0 in the Red Wings’ last six against the Northwest. I don’t see the potential for much scoring in this one, so take the UNDER.
