Colorado at Dallas

The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars have pretty much mirrored each other to this point of the season, with the Avalanche four points in the standings behind Dallas. That should put a bit more energy on the ice tonight as they collide in Big D. The Avalanche have made great strides on the defensive end of the ice, allowing three goals per contest on the season, but in their last nine games, no team has scored more than three, and seven of the nine opponents have scored two or fewer. Not to be out-done, the Stars have been shinning on the defensive end of late as well, allowing just 1.6 goals against them in the last five, with just one of those opponents reaching three goals.
