Colorado at Chicago

Colorado has won just one game in regulation in their last eight contests, a 3-2 squeaker vs. Edmonton. During this span, the Avs have been outscored 30-21. The offense has really gone cold. Chicago doesn't do a lot right, but converting on power plays is one thing they do well, hitting a 22% rate. These are the teams the Avs tend to have trouble against as Colorado is just 8-13 this season vs. teams that convert at 20% or more. Under Jared Bednar, the Avs have been a money-burner vs. losing teams. When facing really bad teams (those being outscored by 0.5+ goals per game, Bednar's Avs have won more than they have lost, but have fallen well short of expectations, losing 20 units cumulatively on such games. When facing terrible offensive teams (under 2.5 goals per game), Bednar has managed a terrible .500 record, and of course massive losses. This one is worth a bet on the big dogs at nearly 3-to-1.
