Colorado at Carolina

This is a tough situational spot for a last place Colorado team, its third straight road game and the second of a back-to-back spot. They pulled of a surprise last night in a 2-1 win at Tampa Bay. But the Avalanche are #18 in scoring, #22 in goals allowed and are on a 1-4 run. Colorado is also 17-52 when playing on no rest. Carolina is home from a long road trip and the Hurricanes are playing well, on a 2-0 run. After Cam Ward made 25 saves in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over Detroit, Carolina held the New York Islanders to 19 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime triumph that concluded a 4-3-0 trip. Carolina is 7-1 against a team with a winning percentage below .400 and the Avalanche are 0-5 in the last five meetings in Carolina, having not won here since 2008. Take the Hurricanes.
