Colorado at Calgary

The Avalanche saw their three game winning streak come to an abrupt end in Vancouver on their last time out on the ice as they were whitewashed 6-0. Despite the loss, they have played plus hockey on the season while taking to the road at 6-5-1. The Flames have been flickering over quite a stretch which has seen them post just a 7-10 mark in their last 17 games. They have also been rather leaky behind the net, allowing 18 goals in their last four games at 4.5 per contest. The Avalanche are getting some bounce after a poor defensive effort allowing 5 goals or more, where they have come back to go 7-2 in their last nine in this situation. The Flames have been a model of inconsistency, and have flamed-out after a win at 1-7 in their last eight. Ride with Colorado in this one as my underdog Game of the Month.
