Colorado at Buffalo

Colorado will be focused tonight after unexpectedly getting shut out 5-0 by Winnipeg on Tuesday as Alexandar Georgiev had a rare off-night. Georgiev still is 10-3-1 on the season with a 2.48 goals-against average and is probable in net for this game while the Sabres are expected to start Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who is 1-1-1 with a 4.28 GAA and .845 save percentage. Buffalo has lost 10 of 13 although it does come off a 5-4 shootout win over Detroit last night and now has to play a back-to-back. It will be the third game in four days for the Sabres, who lost in overtime to Tampa Bay on Monday. The Avalanche have won the last seven meetings and they are 22-5 their past 27 games after losing by at least three goals and the Avs are 61-16 against teams with losing records.
