Chicago at Detroit

The Detroit Red Wings made the playoffs for the 19th consecutive year. Not many gave them a shot this season, but they went on to get hot late winning their last four games, and it took a win on the last day to secure a playoff spot to keep the streak in tact. They were not expected to get out of the first round, but after falling behind 3-2 to Anaheim, the Red Wings rallied to win games six and seven, to earn the right to take on Chicago. Chicago has had an epic season, one that was record setting, and breezed through their series vs. Minnesota winning four games to one, outscoring them 17-7. The shocker came in game two of this series, where Detroit dominated in a 4-1 win. The significance is Chicago had not lost at home all season by more than a single goal. Detroit is playoff savvy, is playing loose and free, and have the confidence now while the pressure mounts on Chicago. Play on Detroit.
