Chicago at Colorado

Colorado is already without team captain and emotional leader Joe Sakic who is out another couple months with henia surgery. Earlier this month they lost left wing Ryan Smyth to a broken ankle. Now, on Thursday their leading scorer Paul Stastny had emergency appendix surgery and is out for three weeks. With those players in the lineup, Chicago beat the Avs 5-3 in October. Without them, we love the value here on the Blackhawks. Chicago is 9-4 this season vs. good offensive teams (those scoring 2.9+ per game) so they can pull this one out. With the loss of Sakic, Smyth and Stastny, this Avs offense lacks much of the punch they had earlier when they were averaging 3.5 goals per game. Over their last five games, they are scoring just 2.6 per game. We like this one to go UNDER as well.
