The Chicago Blackhawks have excelled at home this season, but like so many teams, have not found the ice so friendly on the road where they are a sub-.500 team. Their current road trip has been disastrous as they have dropped the first three, running the losing streak to five straight. They are just not playing good hockey right now. They have been outscored by the count of 22-10 over the five games, losing on average by 2.4 goals per game. Things have been equally bad for the Avalanche, also on a five-game losing streak, but all things aside these teams are even considering the venue where their records are on a par with each other, so the dog has value here on home ice. Toss in the fact that the Blackhawks have been uncompetitive on the road at 0-7 in their last seven, while the Avalanche have stepped-up as a dog of +110 to +150 to go 5-1 in their last six. Play on Colorado.
