Chicago at Colorado

Chicago is out on the road again but is playing well, winning six of nine. The defending champs have great talent and balance, #11 in the NHL in goals scored and allowed, #10 in penalty killing with the fourth ranked power play in the game. The Blackhawks are off a 7-5 win over Arizona on Tuesday, capitalizing on all three of their power-play opportunities in the first period. Patrick Kane finished with a goal and two assists to give him an NHL-high 53 points. The Blackhawks are 23-5 after allowing five goals or more in their previous game, plus 21-10 on one day of rest. Up-and-down Colorado still has defensive problems #21 in goals allowed with a mediocre penalty kill. The Avalanche have a losing home record and are 3-13 after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. Take Chicago.
