We saw it last year when the Los Angeles Kings got hot between the pipes. This year, the Boston Bruins have followed that formula to take a 2-1 lead in the finals. It is a tough act to follow when you start the season at 21-0-3, as there is no place to go but down. Boston barely got past Toronto, but they have since been the best team in the playoffs, going 11-2 over their last 13, and 7-0 at home in their last seven. The Bruins have been air tight around the net where they have allowed 8 goals in their last eight games, including three shutouts. One big help has been the fact that the Bruins have killed 27 straight power plays, and that's the path to the Stanley Cup. The Blackhawks have not fared well vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600, where they are 1-4 in their last five, while the Bruins are up to the task vs. a team with a road winning percentage over .600 at 14-6 in their last 20. Chicago is also 1-4 here in their last five trips. Go with Boston to take a 3-1 series lead.
