The Toronto Maple Leafs have just five wins to show for their last 23 games. There is evidence they are getting it back as they are 3-3 over their last six with one of the losses occurring in a shootout, so they certainly have been a lot more competitive of late. Carolina has stumbled on the road for most of the season, and have dropped the first two on this trip, allowing 10 goals in the process. The Hurricanes have surrendered 3+ goals in 12 of their last 16 games, a difficult task for an average offense to overcome. Carolina is now 18-38 in their last 56 on the road, and have not been getting past teams with a losing home record at 2-10 in their last 12. Play Toronto in this one.
