The Hurricanes are one team that was sorry to see the Olympics interrupt their hot hand as they had won five straight before the break, and 9 out of 11. They played five of those at home however, and were just 2-2 on the road. Maple Leafs have not fared well this season, but they have won two of their last three at home, and outscored the opponents 10-3 in the process. The Hurricanes have not been effective on the road, especially when posted as a dog where they are just 8-22. They have failed on the road, to a greater extent, vs. the worst teams as Carolina is just 1-7 on the road vs. a team with a home winning percentage of less than .400. It’s going to be harder on the Hurricanes to get energized here on the road after the long break. I'll go with Toronto here.
