Carolina at Philadelphia

The Carolina Hurricane broke a three game losing streak in grandios style by shutting out the Chicago Blackhawks last night at home. Their best work on offense however was back-to-back fours they hung at Boston and Buffalo, but otherwise this team has struggled offensively with just 19 goals in their other eight games, barely better than two a contest. The Flyers are off an embarrassing home loss where they dropped one to the lowly Winnipeg Jets 9-8. You can be sure the defense will show up tonight to erase that one. Carolina is an NHL worst over their last 11 games playing without rest as they have posted a 1-10 mark in these 11 games and are also just 16-38 when posted as a dog from +151 to +200. The Flyers own a 36-16 mark in their last 52 vs. a team with a less than .400 winning percentage on the road and have owned Carolina with a 27-8-4 mark in the last 39 games between these clubs. The Hurricane are 7-2 to the UNDER in their last nine vs. an opponent scoring 5+ in their last game and 9-4-1 to the UNDER last 14 vs. the Atlantic.
