Carolina at New York

The Rangers haven't been nearly the same team that got out of the gate recording wins in two-thirds of their games. They have since been a sub-.500 team over their last 19 games. They have been at their worst of late recording just a single win in their last four, and last time out allowed a season high eight goals to the Devils. Carolina has been one of those rare teams that have fared better on the road this season coming into this one with a 6-4-3 mark. The Rangers eight-goal lapse their last time out doesn't bode well for them here as they are 0-4 after allowing five or more goals. The Canes are catching the Rangers at just the right time, and since they have tasted defeat just four times in 13 road contests it is good value to grab them on the plus side of the moneyline in this one, so I'll back them in this spot.
