The Hurricanes are playing better hockey and have won two straight games, and will get a lift in the net tonight as Cam Ward returns. The problem is that he is still allowing three goals per game. The Hurricanes are at a disadvantage on most nights as they have amassed just 19 points on the season. The Devils have displayed very consistent offense scoring at least two goals in each of their last 18 games, tallying 18 in their last five. The Hurricanes finally have found some offense after a 12-game stretch scoring just 23. They have suddenly averaged three per night over their last five games. Two offenses in peak form vs. a low total spells OVER, so I'll ride this one to topple the total.
