Carolina finds themselves in second place in the Southeast. While that may sound encouraging, the division leader has just 38 points in what is shaping up to be the weakest division in the NHL this season. The Canadiens have 22 wins on the season and are a viable threat to go deep into the playoffs. They are off their fourth shutout of the season after closing last year with 26 straight games without one. The good news is they are 3-0 on the season after a shutout, allowing a total of four goals while scoring eight. Carolina has lost seven of their last eight where their offense has tallied just 13 times, for 1.6 per contest. That won't get it done here. The Canadiens have dominated the weak Southeast where they are 10-1 in their last 11 against them and have played four straight UNDERs overall. Carolina is sputtering offense has led to a 7-1-1 UNDER mark in their last nine and 12 of the last 17 in Montreal between these clubs have resulted in the UNDER. The Hurricane are just 1-4 last five here. Play on Montreal and the UNDER.
