Carolina at Detroit

It is somewhat painful for diehard NHL fans to continue to watch the erosion of the Detroit Red Wings. This is a historic franchise with historic success, but the last few years have seen a very steep decline. The Red Wings have started the season at 1-5-2, and that is not an illusion as this team continues to go deeper into decline. The Hurricanes are 4-3-1 on the season but have dropped three straight, so they are not going to come to Detroit and take anything for granted. I expect Carolina to come in here angry and focused. And they will not be thinking of Detroit as an easy win. Make the play on Carolina.
