It is hard for most to erase the memory of the Hurricanes’ 14-game winless streak, and a stretch that saw them come out on the wrong side of 27 of 34 games. What gets lost in all this is the fact they have now come out on the right side of 17 of their last 27, including a 5-3 run on the road. They were beaten soundly 4-0 in their last game by these same Thrashers, so they will be playing with revenge tonight. The Thrashers have come up on the good side of just 14 of their last 41, and enter this one at just 9-19 in their last 28 on one day of rest. The Hurricanes are 15-6 in their last 21 vs. the East, and a comfortable 20-7-3 in their last 30 in Atlanta. I'll go with Carolina in this one.
