Carolina at Arizona

Carolina has won seven of the past eight meetings, including 3-1 on Jan. 27 when it outshot the Coyotes 39-11. That was the third loss in a current seven-game losing streak by Arizona, which hasn't won since Jan. 22. The Coyotes have averaged just 2.29 goals during the skid and they come off a 3-1 home loss to Minnesota on Wednesday. Karel Vejmelka is likely in net for Arizona and he is 6-12-2 with a 3.36 goals-against average. Pyotr Kochetkov is expected for Carolina with a 13-9-3 record and 2.52 GAA and he has won six of his past eight starts. The Hurricanes have won five of seven although they did lose 4-2 at Dallas on Tuesday. Carolina still has won five of six on the road and five of six playing with two days rest.
