Calgary at Washington

The Calgary Flames have gotten off to a quick start at 7-4-2 through their first 13 games of the season. They could be a bit vulnerable for this one as they are off a huge win in Montreal, where they blew out a very good Canadiens team 6-2. Washington is desperate for a win off a tough 6-5 loss their last time out to Arizona, making it four straight losses for the Caps. Washington did get the win in Calgary 3-1 earlier in the season, so they should play with confidence tonight at home. The Flames have been a woeful 1-7 in their last eight when facing an opponent off an explosive offensive game where they scored 5+, as well as being 7-20 in their last 27 when facing an opponent that gave up 5+ in their previous contest. The Flames have played poorly in D.C., notching just a single win in their last eight trips to the Nation's Capital. Play on Washington.
