Calgary went 17-20-4 on the road and was outscored by 18 goals overall. The Flames traded goalie Jacob Markstrom to the Devils and will be relying heavily on rookie Dustin Wolf. Even general manager Craig Conroy admits they're retooling. Vancouver is looking to maintain momentum after winning the Pacific Division last season. They added Jake DeBrusk, who had 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) with the Bruins in 2023-24, and the team was already eighth in save percentage and sixth in goals allowed, while the balanced offense was sixth in scoring.
