Calgary ended the regular season on a 6-3-1 run, then won the opener of this series 2-1. Calgary has exceptional balance at #6 in the NHL in goals scored, #16 in goals allowed and #13 on the power play. The Flames are 23-6 against the Pacific Division. The Flames' 2-1 win Wednesday came after entering the third period down a goal. Kris Russell scored the winner with 30 seconds left. The Flames outscored opponents 99-68 in the third period during the regular season and were tied with Tampa Bay for the most goals in the final 20 minutes. Since the beginning of March, Calgary is 13-5-3 while scoring 3.19 goals per game. The pressure is on Vancouver but the team has lost six straight postseason games along with a 1-11 playoff run. It has been outscored 50-21 while losing 13 of 15 and has nine total goals in its seven consecutive home postseason losses. The Canucks are also 1-4 at home against a team with a winning road record and 2-12 in Conference Quarterfinals games. Take Calgary.
