The Blues started out 16-10 but have dropped thre straight and are desparate for a win to get back on track. They should get some help from newly acquired All-Star forward Andy McDonald from Anaheim who will play tonight. McDonald was one of the key reasons why the Ducks won the Stanley Cup last year. Calgary is playing well but this is a team that struggles mightily on the defensive end, especially on the road where they are allowing 3.3 goals per game. Compare that to St. Louis' 1.9 per game allowed at home! Calgary's recent struggles have mostly come on the road. At home they are 10-5 on the year. Winnning teams coming off the embarassment of a home shutout loss win their next game 67% of the time. Winning home favorites of -200 or less (on the moneyline) off three straight losses win 79% of the time in their next game out! Throw in the fact that Calgary is 4-24 on the road vs. winning teams since last season and this play gets even stronger. We love the Blues here and we'll go for the big 2-to-1 payout on the -1.5 puckline.
