Calgary at San Jose

Calgary is the best team in the West, closing in on a Pacific Division title. The Flames are fourth in the NHL in goals scored, #13 on the power play, while the defense is seventh in goals allowed, off a 6-1 rout of the Anaheim Ducks. The Flames are 35-17 playing on one day of rest. And while Calgary is rested, San Jose had to play last night, breaking a 0-7 skid with a 4-3 win over Vegas. The Sharks were without captain Joe Pavelski and standout defenseman Erik Karlsson due to injury. San Jose is struggling badly on defense, allowing 38 goals in the last nine games.
