Calgary at San Jose

Calgary has won five of the past six meetings, but the Flames are looking to avenge a 6-3 loss to the lowly Sharks on Feb. 15. San Jose is the opponent the Flames need at this point as they have lost eight of nine while struggling to score. The Sharks, of course, have been even worse losing 21 of 24. Jacob Markstrom is expected in net for the Flames and he is 23-21-2 with a 2.74 goals-against average. San Jose's likely starter, Mackenzie Blackwood, is 10-24-3 with a 3.40 GAA. The Sharks are second-to-last in the NHL scoring only 2.21 goals per game and they are last in goals allowed with 3.92. The Sharks are 5-26 following a home loss of at least three goals.
