Calgary has a new coach in Glen Gulutzan, who is a former coach of the Dallas Stars, and the Flames signed forward Johnny Gaudreau to a contract extension. Calgary has two new goaltenders in Brian Elliott and Chad Johnson as it tries to improve on last year's goals-against average and save percentage, which were ranked last in the league. Edmonton signed forward Milan Lucic to go along with Connor McDavid, who recorded 16 goals and 32 assists in 45 games, which gives the Oilers more size up front. The Flames won three of five meetings last season and they have won 20 of the last 28 meetings in Edmonton. The Oilers lost 11 of their last 15 home games last year and they are 13-45 against the Pacific Division. Cam Talbot remains the #1 goalie in spite of the Oilers seventh place finish. Back the Flames.
