The Edmonton Oilers appear to have packed it in for the season. They have really disappeared over their last eight games, dropping all eight of them. It isn't that they have lost eight straight, it is the fact that they have lost competitiveness, having been outscored 29-7 in the process. That is an average loss of just shy of 3 goals a game, and they have scored under a goal a game themselves. Calgary has lost three straight, so they won't come in here treating this one lightly, which is bad news for the Oilers who are 4-23 in their last 27 vs. a team allowing five or more goals in their previous game. Calgary gets the call.
