Calgary has won four of its last five games following its 3-2 victory at the New York Islanders on Sunday. Matthew Tkachuk scored twice in the third period and Mike Smith had 23 saves for the Flames. Smith left right before the end of the game with a groin injury and he is out tonight. David Rittich will step in and he is 5-1-2 with a sparkling 2.20 goals-against average and .922 save percentage. The Flames are one of the better road teams in the league had they have won seven of their last nine away from home. Also, Calgary has won eight of its last 10 when following a win and four straight when its opponent scored at least five goals its previous game. The Flames are 7-3 with one day of rest.
