Buffalo at New York

There is only so far the oddsmakers are willing to go with the line, and they have certainly stretched to the upper threshold for this one. Buffalo is just a bad team. They appear to be better because they had a 10-3 run, but otherwise this team is 4-22 in their other 26 games before and after the run. That on its own is bad enough, but when you consider that in the 4-22 record, they have been outscored by a staggering 64 goals or 2.4 per contest. That may be right there with any team in futility in the NHL in years. Yes, the number looks huge here, but the numbers against Buffalo certainly show it should be much higher. As big of a chalky line as this is, in the grand scheme of things it falls a great distance short. Play on New York.
