The Buffalo Sabres have opened the 2009-10 NHL season with a 4-1-1 mark and take to the road to face the Florida Panthers, who have won just once in three tries at home. The Panthers have book-ended wins around four losses and the inconsistent offense has been troublesome. They punched four through the net in each of the wins, but managed a total of just six goals in the four losses. That may be hard to remedy vs a Sabre team allowing just two goals a game through their first six. The Sabres have feasted of late vs home teams with a .400 winning percentage, grabbing to a 17-6-1 mark in their last 24 dating back to the end of last season. Panthers have not fared well in the role of a home dog as they are just 1-6 in their last seven. Sabres have claimed five of the last six meetings and have also walked out of Florida with a win in four in the last five. I'm on Buffalo in this one.
