Buffalo at Carolina

The Sabres swept the series last year as Carolina flopped following their Stanley Cup win in 2005-2006. But this is a new year. Carolina is third in the league in points and their defense and goaltending is back. They have allowed just 2.1 goals per game this season (1.7 at home) and netminder Cam Ward is 5-0-2 with a 1.83 GAA. That spells trouble for a Buffalo team that is scoring just 2.0 goals per game on the road. The Sabres are just 2-6 the past couple of seasons vs. goalies that save 93%+ of their shots against. Carolina is playing much better and we like them to win this one.
