The Boston Bruins have once again risen from the ashes of a poor playoffs series start, and evened their series at two games apiece with a pair of wins in Boston. The Bruins have had some explosions in the playoffs, the latest being 12 goals in two games vs. the Canucks. They have also been vulnerable to lazing on the defensive end of the ice, allowing opponents some quick strike opportunities and they have cashed in. Those explosions seem to occur with higher frequency after a solid defensive effort, as the Bruins are 6-2-1 to the OVER in their last nine after allowing 2 goals or less. Remember that the Canucks’ offense was held to a total of 2 goals in consecutive games vs. Nashville and then exploded for 10 in the next three games, never scoring less than three times in any of them. I look for a more aggressive attack at home by Vancouver, as this one goes OVER the total.
