The defending champs got their offense going the last game with a 5-3 win over Ottawa. They haven't played many road games and this is an excellent challenge against a Toronto team that is 5-0-1 at home. We saw how this team responds to challenges back in the spring. This is a tough situational handicapping spot for the Maple Leafs, home after a brutal stretch playing seven of the last eight on the road. The Maple Leafs are 16-35 in their last 51 in the third game of a three-in-four situation. There's nothing wrong with the Bruins' defense, which led them to the Cup last year, currently ranked No. 13 in goals against and No. 12 in penalty killing. There is also outstanding depth and talent on this team. By contrast, Toronto has been relying on offense thus far, No. 23 in goals against with an awful penalty killing unit ranked No. 30. The Bruins are also 6-2 in their last eight after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. Play the Bruins.
