The Philadelphia Flyers have assembled a better record than the Boston Bruins, but let's not forget that the Bruins won the Stanley Cup a year ago, and were still in celebration mode to start the season. That set them on the path of a 3-7 start before the wakeup call. They have been all but unbeatable since amassing a 17-3 record. The last seven games have seen a superb effort behind the net and the backside of the ice, as the Bruins have allowed just 11 total goals in the seven games at 1.57 per contest. The Flyers are a hot team in their own right, taking their last seven. The Bruins will be playing with an edge here as the Flyers won 2-1 in the season opener to spoil the celebration in Boston, which was certainly an unfocused effort by the Bruins. I look for a similar, tight-checking game with a different result as the B's revenge the opener. The Flyers are never good as a home dog at just 10-29 in their last 39, and the Bruins 4-0 here last four trips.
