It has been a rough start to the 2010 season for the Devils out of the gate 1-3-1. The Bruins have started 1-1 after a home and road split with Phoenix. Boston played those games in the Czech Republic, and will no doubt be fighting for energy as they play their first game after returning to the States. New Jersey dominated Boston three games to one last season, and overall have taken five of the last seven meetings in New Jersey. The Devils are now at 40-19 in their last 59 vs. the Northeast, while the Bruins sit at 0-4 in their last four vs the Northeast. The Bruins were the lowest scoring team in the East last season and this season they have started out averaging just 2.5 goals per game again. Catching the Bruins after some extended travel, and a team they have beaten consistently, will help the Devils should get back on track today. I like New Jersey in this one.
