The Bruins will open their '08 NHL season on the road against Colorado. Boston exited the playoffs early as the Canadians defeated them four games to three. The biggest reason was they had shown difficulty scoring on the road late in the season and it carried over into the playoffs. Outside of a five goal outburst in game five, the Bruins managed just three total goals in the other three at Montreal. That followed the final 19 games on the road where Boston's games failed to total 5.5 goals in 13 of their last 19. That means including the playoffs they finished with 16 of their final 23 under the posted total of 5.5 here. Boston has also played under the total to a 20-6-2 mark against the West. These teams have historically played UNDER, as in the last five meetings the UNDER has posted a 4-0-1 mark. I will play the opener here on the UNDER.
