I think that after the big winning streak by the Chicago Blackhawks, not many are surprised to see them playing for the Cup. They did look to be in trouble against Detroit down three games to one, but have been electric ever since, winning seven of their last eight, and dispatching LA. The Bruins got to where most thought they could, the Eastern Finals, but I don't think anyone saw them sweeping the Penguins. They not only swept them, they did so by outscoring them 12-2. Due to the strike-shortened season, these teams never met in the regular season, and I think at least in the opener that is going to play out in Chicago's favor. The Blackhawks outscored opponents by 53 goals on the season, and are allowing less than 2 per contest in the playoffs. Chicago has allowed 1 goal or less 23 times on the season, and in the playoffs just 1.7 per game at home. Chicago has made a living playing teams off a poor offensive game, as they are 40-12 in their last 52 vs. a team scoring 2 or fewer in their last contest. Take Chicago.
