Atlanta at New York

It has been a longtime since the Islanders have tasted victory as they have dropped nine straight. They will have their best chance tonight as they face another struggling team in the Atlanta Thrashers who have managed to find the win column just three times in their last 13 games. The Thrashers have been amongst the worst NHL teams, playing on no day’s rest where they are just 4-22 in their last 26. Neither of these teams has shown much offensively and when paired up, five of the last six have produced games that have gone UNDER the total, and eight of the last 10 played by the Islanders with two day’s rest have resulted in UNDERS. I like the UNDER here, but with the Thrashers history of losing so great on no rest, I will back the Islanders to find the win column here.
