The Thrashers haven't done much winning of late, as they have found the win column in just one of their last nine games. They will face an Islander team tonight that is having some problems of their own, winning just one of their last four games. The Islanders’ goaltending has been atrocious as they have now allowed five goals or more in three of their last four times on the ice and 69 goals in their last 20 games, or 3.5 per game. The Islanders have been horrible against the East where they have a longstanding record of futility at just 15-35 in their last 50. They have also found the winning difficult on one day’s rest where they have posted just a 19-39 mark in their last 58 games.
